The Dynamic Elastic Properties Analyzer (JE DEPA) V9, is a state of the art sonic Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) solution used for Quality Control Management and Scientific testing of a wide array of materials. The test process is fast, highly accurate (variance up to a 1000th of a %) and extremely repeatable. The computations are performed for a variety of shapes in accordance with ASTM. Results are tabulated and exported in Excel format for easy viewing, graphing and further statistical analysis. DEPA V9 also supports online statistical evaluation of results via dynamic Histograms showing an instantaneous snap-shot of any testing session.
The core technology is based on the Impulse Excitation Technique (IET). Due to its non-destructive nature and simplicity, IET has found wide acceptance in industry and research. DEPA conforms to standardized testing methodologies defined by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for the measurement of Elastic Moduli (Young's Modulus, Shear Modulus) Poisson's Ratio, Impact Tests and Damping.
